We were thrilled to welcome Alumni, parents of Alumni, current families, and guests to a vibrant (though rainy!) Homecoming & Reunion Weekend on October 20 and 21.

The day began in the Forese Family Fireplace Commons, where we celebrated inductees of the 2023 Richard M. Whitcomb Athletic Hall of Fame: the Class of 2008 Tennis Team, Alfred A. Coppola '77, and William H. McSherry '68.
At the same time, our Middle School Gym was abuzz with activity, thanks to the Mystery Box Challenge! Middle School students were presented with a box of mystery materials and challenged to design a catapult that could launch a ping pong ball the farthest distance. Over 65 middle school students working in teams competed in this annual engineering design challenge, made possible thanks to Middle School Faculty members.

All day, guests could listen to the WSLX Live from the Hilltop radio broadcast. Retired SLS teacher Jeff Kress, Dan Mecca '81, Peter Bush Swanberg '73, and sound engineer Ed Butler worked hard to bring Homecoming to those who could not be there in person.

Meanwhile, indoors, students and class parents raised funds and awareness for student clubs and organizations, offering fun games and tasty treats. Students also enjoyed a variety of fun activities, including inflatables, caricature artists, tattoo artists, and, yes–there was even a mechanical bull!

Of course, athletic contests were a huge highlight of the day, starting with a morning Fun Run led by Cross Country Team members and then followed by games from each of the fall Varsity Teams. St. Luke's teams had two exciting wins and three hard-fought losses.

The day culminated with the All Class Reunion and Milestone Reunions, celebrating the Class of 1973, 1998, 2013, and 2018.
